66 Best Plumber in Chicago for SameDay Service

Kavana's Plumbing and Heating is a plumbing and heating company based on Corcoran Place in Chicago, serving the city with 24/7 availability. Its services span both trades: furnace and central air repair, steam and hot water boiler repair, water heater repair and installation, gas piping, drain clog clearing and rodding, humidifier service, and planned maintenance and inspections. The owner, Henry, is the name across reviews: one customer was told a stripped spigot needed only a handle rather than a whole shutoff valve, and was advised to fix the toilet themselves because it was cheaper — with Henry buying the parts at the store and finishing the spigot replacement after dark. Another had gas leaks in a newly purchased home fixed the same visit. A homeowner whose basement drain was flooding after hours found Henry the only plumber willing to come out. Honest talk-down of unnecessary work and after-hours responsiveness are the dominant themes. This is a fit for west-side Chicago homeowners who want one company for both plumbing and heating, particularly boiler systems. The honesty pattern suits anyone wary of upselling — the review record shows a willingness to recommend the cheaper path. For after-hours emergencies, the late-night response reports stand out.

Sims & Sons Electric and Plumbing is a dual-trade contractor in Chicago's Lake View neighborhood combining electrical and plumbing work for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Chicagoland. Electrical services include panel upgrades including 200-amp multi-meter jobs, full building rewiring, lighting and fixture installation, EV charger installation, breaker and circuit repair, power restoration, and code-violation corrections with inspection support. Plumbing work covers pipe repair, water line replacement, drain cleaning, and fixture replacements such as hose faucets. Founder Darrell Sims leads the crews, and reviewers name technicians Dylan, Slobodan, JJ, and Mel alongside him. Review themes center on honesty and communication: one customer describes the team diagnosing an outage over the phone, dispatching a technician, then cancelling free of charge when the fault proved to be the utility's. Others cite late-night emergency panel calls answered after 10 PM, an eleven-hour condo building conduit repair in extreme heat, and text-and-photo updates throughout long jobs. Property managers and investors report using the company repeatedly across multiple buildings. This is a fit for landlords and multi-unit owners who want one contractor for both trades, especially on complex jobs other shops decline — a reviewer notes a commercial rewiring passed inspection on the first attempt. Homeowners adding EV chargers get a crew reviewers call the fastest to respond among competitors. Smaller single-fixture jobs are handled too, though the company's strength shows most on larger or multi-system projects.

HorVer Gas Piping & Repair is a gas-line specialist based on Sheridan Road on Chicago's north side, serving homes and businesses across the Chicago area. Unlike general plumbers, the company focuses entirely on gas work: gas pipe installation, gas leak repair, gas pressure testing, commercial gas piping, and full gas line replacement. Emergency gas services are offered seven days a week. The owner, Arslan, is named across reviews for fast, safety-first work: one customer had a Saturday gas leak found and fixed within two hours, with all other gas fixtures checked for leaks before he left. Another had a rotted underground gas pipe replaced without digging up the yard, saving major excavation costs. A third had all gas lines on two meters replaced — when People's Gas came to restore service, the inspector complimented the plumbing work unprompted. Arslan is noted for waiting on-site for the utility inspection after completing repairs. This is a fit for Chicago homeowners and businesses with gas problems: suspected leaks, failed utility inspections, aging gas lines, or new gas appliance hookups. The gas-only specialization means the diagnostic tools and experience are specific to this trade rather than incidental. For anyone told by People's Gas to find a contractor for mandated work, the review record shows repeated experience meeting utility requirements.

Oasis Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a combined plumbing and HVAC company based on Western Avenue in Chicago's West Ridge neighborhood, with a second location in Elmhurst serving the northern suburbs. Its services span plumbing and water heater work, furnace and heater repair and replacement, air conditioning repair and replacement, and maintenance plans. Reviewers note the company uses Manual J load calculations when sizing replacement systems, a more precise method than matching the old unit's size. Technicians named Chris, Serge, Harvey, and Fernando appear in reviews: Chris is credited with a well-executed hot water tank installation and deep plumbing knowledge, while Serge and Harvey handled a furnace and AC replacement with clear estimates and strong communication. Several reviewers highlight no-upsell pressure — repairs fixed at reasonable prices rather than fabricated replacements. One reviewer reports a poorly handled appointment for a condo hot water pressure issue. This is a fit for north-side Chicago and northern suburban homeowners who want one company for both plumbing and HVAC. The maintenance plans suit anyone wanting seasonal tune-ups with repair discounts and priority scheduling. For full system replacements, the load-calculation approach appeals to homeowners who want equipment sized to the home rather than the guess.

The company serves Chicago and nearby suburbs including Schaumburg, Naperville, Evanston, Arlington Heights, Oak Park, Skokie, Glenview, and Northbrook. The owner, Jacob, is named across reviews for fast communication and competitive pricing: one customer had a quote delivered by text and email with same-day installation at the best price found. Another had a corroded fitting repaired before lunchtime after a two-hour response, with the technician adapting when the job expanded and wearing boot covers inside the home. Same-day installation and upfront pricing are the consistent themes. This is a fit for Chicago-area homeowners whose water heater is failing — no hot water, slow recovery, leaks, or a unit past six years old — and who want it replaced the same day. The tankless specialization suits anyone considering an upgrade from a conventional tank. For busy households, the text-and-email quoting keeps the process moving without phone tag.

Plumbers 911 Chicago is a plumbing contractor referral service based at 1340 W Washington Blvd in Chicago, connecting customers with local plumbers rather than operating as a single shop. Through its network it covers emergency plumbing, drain cleaning and repair, sewer work, water heater installation and repair, gas line service, burst pipe repair, hydrojetting, backflow prevention, leak detection, and whole-house repiping. The service covers Chicago and more than 240 surrounding Illinois cities with 24/7 dispatch. Repeat customers note on-time arrivals, professional conduct, and fair pricing across multiple visits. This is a fit for Chicago homeowners and businesses that need a plumber fast and prefer a dispatch service that matches them with an available technician. Grayson Sewer and Drain Services is a sewer and drain specialist based on Lockwood Avenue in Chicago, serving Chicago and DuPage County. Its core work is hydro jetting to clear drains and roots, sewer rodding for long pipe runs, video camera inspection for precise diagnosis, and sewer line repair and replacement. Catch basin cleaning and emergency service round out the offering. Reviewers consistently describe the company talking customers out of unnecessary work: one homeowner got a second opinion here after another plumber recommended digging up the yard at great cost, and Grayson's camera inspection showed the line was fine. A technician named Jeremy is repeatedly praised for punctuality, clear explanations, and pricing that undercuts bigger companies. Same-day visits and honest assessments are the recurring themes. This is a fit for Chicago homeowners facing sewer backups, root intrusion, or flooding who want a diagnosis they can trust before committing to excavation. The camera-first approach suits anyone who has been told they need a full line replacement and wants verification. For basement flooding and chronic drain issues, a sewer-only specialist brings deeper focus than a generalist.
