Best Kitchen remodeler in Portsmouth for SameDay Service

A.W. Holmes Contracting, LLC is a Portsmouth plumbing and remodeling contractor based on South Street in Midtown, working across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Its plumbing services cover water heater installation and repair for both tank and tankless units, sewer and water line repairs, drain stoppages, and general plumbing repairs. The remodeling side handles full bathroom and kitchen renovations, and its listed offerings also include deck and patio work, giving it a wider construction footprint than a repair-only shop. Review themes split between the field crews and the front office. Technicians earn praise for persistence on difficult jobs, with one homeowner crediting Tony Holmes for arriving on a Sunday morning to clear a main-drain backup that had flooded the master bathroom. Several reviewers describe solid plumbing workmanship and free estimates, while others report frustration with unreturned calls, delayed or unclear quotes, and office communication they found dismissive. The company fits homeowners planning bathroom or kitchen remodels who want plumbing and renovation handled by one contractor, especially in older Portsmouth homes where cast-iron piping or sewer issues may complicate the project. Its emergency response to the Sunday drain flood also suits anyone who wants a contractor reachable on weekends. Because office-side reviews are mixed, confirming timelines and getting estimates in writing before work begins would be sensible.
