Best Heating contractor in Portsmouth for SameDay Service

J.F. Whitlow Jr & Sons Inc. Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a Portsmouth plumbing and HVAC contractor based on Confederate Avenue, serving the Hampton Roads area across residential and commercial work. Its plumbing services include pipe repair and installation, drain cleaning and repair, leak repair, toilet installation, grease trap cleaning, gas line work, and bathroom remodeling. The heating and cooling side covers boiler repair, geothermal heating, whole-house humidifier installation, and full HVAC service, giving the company a dual-trade footprint in a single shop. Review themes highlight quick scheduling and personable technicians. Lee is named for a same-day visit with thorough work, while Kyle and an assistant earn praise for fixing a clogged kitchen drain and leaking faucet joint in one visit. Rudd and Chris are mentioned for tracking down and fixing a sewage line chewed by rats, and one reviewer describes satisfaction with the company's HVAC maintenance agreement. Some reviews mention friction around scheduling, no-shows, or home-warranty coordination, though the company responds publicly to such complaints. The profile fits Portsmouth-area homeowners who want one contractor for both plumbing and HVAC, particularly those considering a maintenance agreement for their heating and cooling systems. Its gas line and grease trap work also make it relevant to small commercial customers. Anyone booking through a home warranty should confirm scheduling and scope directly, given the mixed experiences reported on that front.
