7 Best Plumber in Chicago for SameDay Service

J. Blanton Plumbing, Sewer & Drain is a family-run, full-service plumbing company on Chicago's North Side, offering round-the-clock emergency repairs across the North and Northwest Sides and into suburbs including Riverside, Norridge, and McHenry County. Services span drain cleaning and hydro jetting, sewer camera inspection, pipe repair and replacement, water heater installation, toilet and faucet repair and installation, leak detection, and water quality and filtration work. The company also runs the No Drip Club, a maintenance membership, and provides free estimates including online estimates. Reviewers name technicians Kyle Johnson, Eladio, George Cameron, and Mike for thorough, communicative work — George is cited for camera-inspecting a sewer line, finding it sound, and honestly recommending a high-pressure toilet instead of selling repairs. Kyle drew praise for verifying a cured-in-place liner's integrity before hydro jetting a blockage. Themes include quick response, no-upsell advice, and clear explanations from both office staff and technicians. A few reviewers note frustration with dispatch scheduling, a counterpoint worth knowing when booking. This is a fit for North Side homeowners who want camera-verified diagnoses before committing to sewer or drain work. The maintenance membership suits customers who prefer scheduled checkups over surprise failures. Emergency callers get genuine round-the-clock positioning, though confirming arrival windows at booking is wise given the mixed dispatch feedback.

Sims & Sons Electric and Plumbing is a dual-trade contractor in Chicago's Lake View neighborhood combining electrical and plumbing work for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Chicagoland. Electrical services include panel upgrades including 200-amp multi-meter jobs, full building rewiring, lighting and fixture installation, EV charger installation, breaker and circuit repair, power restoration, and code-violation corrections with inspection support. Plumbing work covers pipe repair, water line replacement, drain cleaning, and fixture replacements such as hose faucets. Founder Darrell Sims leads the crews, and reviewers name technicians Dylan, Slobodan, JJ, and Mel alongside him. Review themes center on honesty and communication: one customer describes the team diagnosing an outage over the phone, dispatching a technician, then cancelling free of charge when the fault proved to be the utility's. Others cite late-night emergency panel calls answered after 10 PM, an eleven-hour condo building conduit repair in extreme heat, and text-and-photo updates throughout long jobs. Property managers and investors report using the company repeatedly across multiple buildings. This is a fit for landlords and multi-unit owners who want one contractor for both trades, especially on complex jobs other shops decline — a reviewer notes a commercial rewiring passed inspection on the first attempt. Homeowners adding EV chargers get a crew reviewers call the fastest to respond among competitors. Smaller single-fixture jobs are handled too, though the company's strength shows most on larger or multi-system projects.

Power Plumbing & Sewer Contractor, Inc. is a women-operated plumbing and sewer company based on Ashland Avenue in Chicago's Lake View area, serving homeowners, high-rises, commercial and industrial clients, renters, restaurants, and retailers. Its work runs from repairs to full remodels: drain cleaning and rooter service, sewer line cleaning and inspection, water heater installation including tankless units, toilet, pipe, and faucet repair, plus kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Listed specialties include RPZ valve certification, telescoping sewer lines, and handicap fixture installation. Reviewers praise professionalism, punctuality, and clear explanations of issues and options, with emergency calls answered quickly — one Sunday response arrived within hours for a major issue. Named staff get credit for friendly, knowledgeable service, and condo associations use the company for preventive maintenance across multiple buildings. One reviewer reported a poor experience with an inexperienced technician on a condo leak, a reminder to confirm who is dispatched. This is a fit for Chicago condo owners, building managers, and businesses that need a single company for both routine maintenance and emergencies. The commercial and high-rise experience suits multi-unit properties with complex systems. For anyone planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel alongside plumbing repairs, the combined trade scope keeps the project in one place.

Rescue Plumbing is the Lake View listing of the Chicago emergency plumbing company, extending its 24/7 rapid-response coverage to the North Side. From this Lake View presence, the company dispatches for the full emergency menu: drain cleaning, water heater repair and replacement, leak detection, burst and leaking pipes, flood restoration, and sewage cleanup. The North Side coverage reaches Lake View, Lincoln Park, Uptown, and the surrounding neighborhoods, where vintage apartment buildings and older homes generate a steady stream of urgent calls. The review pattern for the brand is consistent across listings: fast dispatch with technicians on site within the hour, clear upfront estimates, and fair pricing for work that by nature cannot be scheduled. The water damage restoration capability means the company handles both the plumbing failure and the wet aftermath — extraction, drying, and cleanup. The recurring theme is trust in a stressful moment: a company that picks up the phone and follows through. This is a fit for North Side homeowners, renters, and landlords who need an emergency plumber now — the burst pipe at 2 AM, the water heater that quit on a holiday weekend, the drain backing up into the basement. The Lake View listing keeps response times short for the neighborhoods north of downtown. For anyone who wants one reliable number for plumbing emergencies, the round-the-clock model is exactly the promise.

Fly Plumbing & HVAC is a full-service plumbing and HVAC company based in Wheeling with additional offices in Skokie and Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood. On the plumbing side it handles drain cleaning, sewer rodding and repair, sump pump and ejector pump replacement, water heater replacement, and pipe installation. The HVAC arm covers central air conditioning installation, heating equipment, and gas and steam boiler repair — making it a two-trade shop for homes that need both systems serviced. Reviewers describe same-day turnarounds: a dead water heater fixed the same day it was called in, a storm-failed sump pump replaced with maintenance instructions the same afternoon. Adrian and Tony are named for professional, knowledgeable service — Adrian recommended the cheaper of two repair options and was proven right. The company states its technicians solve problems on the first trip and explain everything before leaving. This is a fit for suburban homeowners who want one company for plumbing and HVAC rather than coordinating two contractors — boiler trouble in winter, AC issues in summer, and drain problems year-round. The 24/7 emergency positioning covers the middle-of-the-night failures. For Wheeling, Skokie, Lake Forest, and the north suburbs, the two-trade coverage is the practical advantage.

Apex Plumbing & Sewer Inc. is a Lake View plumbing company with a clear specialty in sewer work: sewer blockages, sewer repair and backup service, and drain cleaning. Reviewers describe it as the shop that correctly diagnoses problems other companies miss — one customer brought in two competing firms for estimates on a major sewer blockage, and only Apex identified the real fault and had the equipment to fix it. Free estimates come before any repair work begins. Technicians Marco, Chas, Chuck, and Chris are named across reviews for staying on site until the job is done right — Marco spent a full day on one repair, sourcing top-quality parts and explaining each step. Response times run fast, with emergency calls answered within two hours. Pricing gets described as fair and transparent, with preventive work recommended only when genuinely warranted rather than as an upsell. This is a fit for homeowners facing sewer and drain problems that need accurate diagnosis, not guesswork — especially older Chicago properties where clay pipes and root intrusion complicate the picture. The free-estimate model suits anyone comparing options before committing to a major sewer repair.

Goode Plumbing is a Chicago plumbing company handling water heater installation and repair, sewer line cleaning, drain cleaning, and toilet repair and replacement. Its technicians also take on corroded pipe replacement, piping for remodels, and commercial work including commercial repiping and plumbing inspections. Same-day emergency service covers the urgent calls, while the broader list reaches into planned upgrades and multi-unit properties. Reviewers consistently describe technicians who explain each step as they work — Adar, Henry, Ashton, Joey, Chris, Danny, and Jose are named across reviews for friendly, unhurried explanations and preventive maintenance tips. The recurring theme is no upselling: estimates match the final bill, and technicians talk customers through realistic options instead of pushing extras. Water heater replacements have gone from first call to installed tank within hours, and long-term customers describe years of repeat service. This is a fit for Chicago homeowners who want a plumber that diagnoses before selling — people comparing quotes, landlords managing multi-unit buildings, and anyone wary of upsell pressure. The commercial repiping and inspection work also makes it relevant for property managers. For a straightforward leak or a full repipe, the pattern of clear estimates and clean, thorough work is the draw.
