Best Window treatment store in Toledo for SameDay Service

Ondrus Hardware Co. Inc. is an independent hardware store at 515 Oak Street in Toledo's East Toledo neighborhood, operating under the True Value banner. It stocks building materials, tools, paint, lawn and garden supplies, electrical and plumbing parts, and offers specialty services including while-you-wait glass cutting, window pane replacement, and mirror installation. Its plumbing department handles parts for older fixtures — sink valve stems, heating components, and sump pumps — plus special ordering when an item is not on the shelf. Reviewers single out the staff's troubleshooting knowledge: one describes tracking down the right valve stems for an old sink after big-box stores came up empty, with the part special-ordered and replacement handles thrown in when the new stems would not fit the original hardware. Others point to glass work done quickly and cheaply, help with storm windows, and employees who stay with a project until the right part is found. The recurring theme is expert answers from people who know the inventory and the trades it serves. The store suits DIY homeowners, plumbers, and property managers working on older homes whose fixtures need exact replacement parts rather than new installs. It is not a service contractor — no field crews come to the house — but a parts and advice resource for people fixing things themselves. Anyone restoring vintage plumbing or needing glass cut while they wait will find the counter staff more useful than a big-box aisle.
