Best Contractor in Shively for SameDay Service

Venhoff Plumbing & Heating Co is a family-run plumbing and heating contractor at 1847 San Jose Avenue in Shively, Kentucky, operating weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Its listed services cover sewer and drain cleaning, boiler system repair and replacement, certified backflow testing, electronic pipe locating and sonic leak detection, faucet repair, gas service repair and replacement, water heater work, water service repair and replacement, and irrigation repair and installation. The company handles both residential and commercial work across Jefferson County and the surrounding Kentuckiana area, with brands including Bradford White, Mansfield, Noritz, and Zoeller. Review themes emphasize long-tenure relationships and diagnostic skill: customers describe multi-decade histories with the company, a full basement bathroom build-out with exact daily arrival updates, and a ruptured supply line answered the same afternoon with cleanup included. Named techs Danny, Daniel, Tony, and Richard are credited with thorough assessments of zoned boiler systems and straightforward pricing. The record has a mixed edge: published complaints allege a late arrival with no call and a visit that confirmed a problem without fixing it for a diagnostic charge, so customers should confirm what a service call covers. This is a fit for Shively and west Louisville customers needing drain and sewer work, boiler service, gas line repairs, or water service replacements during weekday hours. The basement bath build-out record makes it relevant for larger rough-in projects. For diagnostics, confirming the fee structure before the visit addresses the complaint pattern directly.
