Sunset Heating & Cooling is a Portland HVAC and electrical company based at 607 S Idaho Street, with plumbing work centered on water heaters and their connections to heating systems. Its listed services cover furnace repair, replacement, and installation, air conditioning repair and replacement, heat pump service, thermostat servicing, air filter supply, and electrical work, alongside standard and heat-pump water heater installation and repair. Coverage extends across Portland plus Tigard, Tualatin, Gresham, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, and Oregon City. Review themes describe fast turnaround on comfort equipment: broken gas furnaces diagnosed the same afternoon and replaced by the next day, AC units repaired during heatwaves, and tankless water heaters installed alongside full furnace and AC jobs. Named technicians Jeremy, Roman, David, Ryan, Jaime, Taylor, Daniel, Eduardo, Volodymyr, and Shane recur across accounts for explaining options in plain terms and cleaning up after installs. The record carries one serious counterpoint: a detailed BBB review describes a botched AC and furnace installation followed by months of unresolved billing and service disputes, so large installs deserve a written scope and financing terms in the contract. This is a fit for Portland homeowners replacing aging furnaces, AC units, or water heaters as a package rather than piecemeal. The electrical division matters for upgrades that involve panel or circuit work alongside HVAC. Anyone signing a financed multi-unit install should document the rebate paperwork, parts list, and payment terms before work begins.

HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys is a multi-trade home service company based at 4582 Hastings Place in Lake Oswego, serving the Portland metro from additional addresses on SE Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and NE 78th Court. Review themes describe fast scheduling and practical service: a broken washer diagnosed and fixed within a day, online scheduling with next-day arrivals and parts on hand, and clear explanations of recommended repairs with prices stated before work begins. Named technicians Sergey, David, Viktor, Roman, and Ivan recur for professional, knowledgeable visits. One notable negative account reports deep disappointment with the service received, so the record is not uniformly positive. The company advertises round-the-clock hours, suiting breakdown calls outside business hours. This is a fit for Portland-area homeowners who want one company for appliance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues rather than calling separate trades. The commercial appliance line suits restaurants and food businesses with cooking or refrigeration equipment. Given the mixed record, customers should confirm the diagnosis, parts cost, and completion timeline in writing before authorizing work.
