3 Best Air conditioning repair service in Minneapolis for SameDay Service

Standard Heating & Air Conditioning is an HVAC contractor at 130 Plymouth Ave N in Minneapolis's Near North neighborhood, serving the Twin Cities metro. Its work covers furnace and air conditioner installation and repair, seasonal maintenance and inspections, and ductless mini-split systems. The company offers maintenance plans with two preventative visits per year, a parts discount, and priority service during heating or cooling emergencies. Reviews name technicians and sales staff including Brian, Jeff, Josh, Tovah, and Nick, and describe furnaces and AC units installed within days of the estimate, with crews arriving early, explaining the new system in detail, and cleaning up after themselves. Repeat customers across years of write-ups report reliable maintenance visits and no-pressure equipment recommendations. One negative theme appears: a reviewer alleged a technician pushed an unnecessary full replacement over a fixable part, and another reported waiting over a week for a summer AC appointment. This is a fit for Twin Cities homeowners who want a large HVAC shop for furnace and AC replacement with predictable scheduling and maintenance plan options. Its long track record suits people replacing aging systems rather than chasing one-off bargain repairs. Given the occasional complaint about upselling, asking for a line-item estimate and a second opinion on major replacement calls would be prudent.

Stafford Home Service is a multi-trade residential contractor based on Cambridge Street in Minneapolis, covering heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing work across the Twin Cities. Its HVAC side spans furnace repair and installation, boilers, heat pumps, ductless systems, and air conditioning, while electrical work includes panel upgrades, EV charger installation with new 220 lines and breaker boxes, knob-and-tube replacement, lighting, and outlet additions. It also lists plumbing, indoor air quality equipment, duct cleaning, home security, and home entertainment services, and operates on a 24-hour emergency schedule. Reviews name technicians Dave, Alexandr, Taylor, and Dusty, plus owner Kris, with themes of thorough knowledge, clear cost explanations, no upselling, and careful job completion. Customers describe combined HVAC and electrical work handled in a single visit, EV charger installs executed cleanly, and long relationships stretching over decades. A repeated note is that prices can run slightly above competitors, but customers say the professionalism and lasting results justify the cost. Scheduling during peak winter demand is occasionally mentioned as a limitation. This fits Minneapolis homeowners who want HVAC, electrical, and plumbing under one roof, especially for projects crossing trades such as furnace replacements needing electrical upgrades or EV charger installs with panel work. It suits older-home owners dealing with knob-and-tube wiring or boiler systems, and customers who prefer a long-tenured family-run company with a no-upselling posture. For households that value combined-trade convenience on a single call, the review pattern supports Stafford as a dependable pick.

Hurlburt Heating & Plumbing is a multi-trade home services company based on Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis's Hiawatha area, covering heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical work. It offers same-day repair appointments for plumbing and HVAC issues, plus free in-person quotes for new installations and replacements. Listed trade coverage spans water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning, smart lighting, EV chargers, and advanced thermostats, and its service-area pages name northeast Minneapolis neighborhoods including Audubon Park, Logan Park, St. Anthony East, and Waite Park. The company presents itself as a long-standing local operation. Reviews repeatedly name technicians: Mark, Mike, Matt, Dave, and Trevor are cited for arriving on time, explaining the work in plain terms, and giving honest evaluations rather than pushing extra services. Customers describe same-day scheduling for urgent issues, financing options on equipment replacements, and careful cleanup after installs. The recurring theme is a company positioned for households that want all home systems — heat, water, power — under one roof, with repeat customers noting consistent professionalism from booking through job completion. This fits Minneapolis homeowners who prefer one contractor for plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical rather than juggling multiple trades. It suits households planning equipment replacements that cross trades, such as a new furnace with electrical upgrades, and northeast Minneapolis residents within its named coverage. For anyone seeking same-day repair scheduling across home systems, the review pattern supports it as a practical all-in-one choice.
