Best Roofing contractor in Jersey City for SameDay Service

Nelson's Construction LLC is a general contractor and carpenter based on Stevens Avenue in Jersey City's Greenville neighborhood, also listed for plumbing and roofing work. Its project scope spans roof replacement, water heater installation, basement renovation, garage and attic conversions, home additions, outdoor kitchens, and window, door and stair replacement — a broad remodeling outfit rather than a plumbing specialist. Nelson personally handles jobs, and reviews describe him as responsive by phone and text with fair estimates. The company keeps 24/7 hours. Review themes lean positive: customers call Nelson a perfectionist and describe an emergency water heater replacement completed within about a day of the estimate. One negative review reports a toilet installation that loosened after a few months, with the reviewer unable to reach the company afterward — post-job support can be a weak point. Separately, a contractor directory record shows the company's listed New Jersey contractor license as expired at the last check in August 2026, so licensing should be verified directly before hiring. This fits Greenville homeowners who want one operator for mixed carpentry, plumbing and roofing projects — a basement renovation, a garage conversion, or a water heater swap alongside other repairs. Before hiring, confirm current license status with the state licensing board, get the scope and estimate in writing, and clarify callback coverage once work is done.
