Hughes Mechanical is a family-run plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractor based on Eastern Boulevard in Essex, Maryland, serving Baltimore, Abingdon, Bel Air, Cockeysville, Lutherville-Timonium, Nottingham, Parkville, Perry Hall, Towson, and surrounding areas. On the plumbing side it handles drain line unclogging and replacement, leak repairs including cracked cast-iron pipe work, and water heater installation covering energy-efficient units. On the HVAC side it services and installs gas and oil furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, hot water and steam boilers, and water heaters, performs oil-to-gas conversions, and installs new ductwork from scratch. The company's review record names technicians Mike, Cody, Chad, and Pat, plus coordinator Stephanie. Recurring themes include prompt estimate turnaround, professional and courteous installation crews, diligent follow-up without high-pressure sales, and thorough explanations of the work being done. Reviewers describe Sunday response within the hour for an urgent call, careful cleanup during installs, and diligent diagnosis on difficult jobs. The company keeps 24-hour hours every day of the week, positioning it for urgent plumbing and HVAC calls. This is a fit for homeowners who want one contractor covering both plumbing and heating or cooling work, and for furnace or air conditioning replacement shoppers comparing quotes who want the estimate explained before work begins. Property managers and apartment residents with complex leak or drain problems could also find the pattern of careful diagnosis and scheduled coordination useful. For Essex-area households with no heat or no hot water, the around-the-clock availability addresses the most time-sensitive needs directly.

MD Plumbing & Heating, LLC is a plumbing company based at 49 Yew Rd in Essex, Maryland, owned and operated by Dominic. Its listed hours run Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM with Saturday morning hours and Sunday closed. The business describes itself around plumbing, water heater replacement and repair, new pipe installation, garbage disposals, sump pumps and sewage ejector pits, with emergency service offered for urgent issues, often same-day. The work covers plumbing leak detection, garbage disposal installation and repair, bathtub piping repair, outdoor hose bib repair, toilet installation and repair, faucet work, and water heater service including components like powered anode rods for odor issues in well water. Sump pump and sewage ejector pit work rounds out the offering for homes with below-grade plumbing. The business operates primarily as a local Essex shop taking on everyday residential plumbing repairs and replacements. Customers describe Dominic as punctual, professional and respectful, noting clear communication from scheduling through job completion and craftsmanship that solved problems other companies could not. Review themes emphasize honest, upfront behavior: arriving on time, explaining what went wrong, completing work like disposal or toilet installs within an hour, and coming back to make right anything that was not correct, such as replacing a factory-defective toilet after installation. It is a fit for Essex-area homeowners who want a responsive local plumber for routine repairs, water heaters and drain or disposal issues.

Mike's Plumbing And Heating Services Inc. is a plumbing and heating contractor at 7110 Golden Ring Rd in Essex, serving the Essex and Dundalk area. Its listed work covers boiler repair, water heater installation and replacement including tankless units, repiping, gas line work, drain cleaning, and sewer service. The company positions itself on upfront pricing and same-day appointments for breakdowns, with technicians described as licensed and the shop holding long-standing BBB accreditation. Reviewers describe being fit in within two hours of calling, with technicians Charlie, Jake, Nick, Jared, Kevin, and Chris named for clear explanations, careful work, and spotless cleanup. Cast iron and galvanized pipe replacements without unnecessary floor demolition come up as a specialty, as does gas line work brought up to code for new appliances. One record notes a slow, expensive faucet repair, so the record skews positive but not uniformly. This fits Essex and Dundalk homeowners facing a boiler failure or water heater outage who want fast scheduling and itemized quotes. Older homes with cast iron drainage get technicians experienced at repairing rather than automatically replacing. Buyers comparing quotes should note the company runs a smaller shop than the Baltimore giants, which reviewers frame as personal attention rather than dispatch-center handling.
