Best Mechanical contractor in Durham for SameDay Service

Alternative Aire Inc is a heating and air conditioning contractor in Durham, NC — HVAC-only, not a plumber — based at 3156 Hillsborough Rd in the Watts Hospital-Hillandale area of the 27705 ZIP. Its trade list covers AC contracting, AC repair, and AC supply, plus air duct cleaning, furnace repair, heating, heating equipment supply, and mechanical contracting. The company specializes in high-efficiency and dual-fuel HVAC systems and offers custom duct fabrication and design for homes where standard setups fall short. Its posted hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend and evening service available. Review themes center on careful diagnosis and clear quoting: customers describe technicians taking units apart to find the actual cause of failure, measuring insulation to size replacements properly, and explaining options in understandable terms before work begins. Danny, Scott, Curtis, Aaron, and Enrique are named across feedback for knowledgeable, non-pushy conduct with no upselling. The company states flat-rate pricing with no overtime charges, technicians described as NATE-certified, and local Durham crews. This is a fit for Durham homeowners who want a diagnostic-first approach to HVAC problems rather than a quick guess and a big invoice. Buyers comparing full system replacements could benefit from the measured sizing and itemized options reviewers describe. Renters and landlords with aging rental-unit systems, plus homeowners in Raleigh and Cary within its Triangle service reach, round out the natural customer base.
